oh! aww! I have never experienced that situation before. Though I am familiar with kids being on various sites having been a forum owner and manager for awhile.

Once, I had a similar situation with a child making an unauthorized purchase. And, that situation was not so funny.

My daughter and I love playing Facebook games and I had purchased a little block builder game for her there. It cost $8.00. I didn't realize that Facebook saves your payment information for Paypal.

Later on, we got into playing Farmville 2 and one day when she was playing, she clicked the button to buy coins for Farmville2
and just kept clicking and clicking and clicking. >.<

I had no money in my Paypal account at the time so it took the money directly from my bank account, over $400 worth.

I was not in the room at the time but came back to find out there were so many coins in the game account. Instantly I knew something was wrong.

Needless to say, I was very worried over the situation.

I checked Paypal and saw all these $40 charges had been made, which came out of my bank.

I contacted Facebook help desk and explained the situation fully how it was a child who had made the purchase. The Facebook help desk was very responsive to me and refunded my money as it was a child who had made the purchase without a parent's permission. It took several weeks for the money to appear in my bank account.

What I learned was to always check to be sure that a site does not save payment information.

kids are getting very exposed these days and becoming more and more social, hence they will open up socil media accounts and seek for ways to boost thier followers and likes, making new more friends. some evn own kid sites also. well. i wont really blame them, it all bols down to a more advanced and technological worls we are today.

In some way i wouldn't blame them too. But for kid to buy such $90 service is too far, i would be angry too

Is there no way for Monster Backlinks to restrict buyers who are under age from making irresponsible purchase? Maybe members could be required to upload a photo ID for proof of age. That would prevent this type of thing from happening.

Actually you are right I am not in favour of under-age buyers as well because my service is kinda online delivery so I didn't loose anything but it might be a loss for those who are reselling services or such services in which investment is included .
Example :
Under aged buyer purchase a $20 youtube views service so seller will also invest on a youtube views server to purchase those views . After a day buyer send mutual cancellation and give this lame reason that mom or dad is not allowing me . Seller would have no choice except to risk a negative rating or refund .
I know rejection is an option but as far as my experience once I put 100% return on rejection and almost 4 of my freebie buyers took advantage of it and got my service for free . so I guess rejection doesnt work very well in these freebie situations.
I think there should be advantage for the sellers here as well because in these situation only seller is on risk .

you have spoken very well farahkhan. once a buyer is dissatisfied with an order. we, the sellers are defenseless in the sense that the buyer may get the order free or we risk negative rating. no protective strategy for sellers when that situation arises. its so so sad.

There are some really savvy teen business bloggers and entrepreneurs online. However, they should be using their own money and accounts for purchases and not relying on mom and dad's money to buy these type of services.

I am not really against kids but just to be on the safe side, my online work is exclusively mine and no one can access my sites, not even my husband. At home, we still act professionally when it comes to the internet. Especially in social media, no sharing of passwords since that is unhealthy. We respect privacy here. Can you imagine the damage if a kid would log on to one of my sites huh. A nonsense post or trolling? That can ruin me.
