My man site is an page1 and the sites above me are:
competition page2 newspapers Facebook of the #1 in this search
Those are above the fold. That Facebook only has 200 members and mine has 8000 but I can't ever pass all these.
At this point what could be climb me above any of those?
A strategy? Surly contextual back links with social signals doesn't work.. or does it.....
If "contextual back links with social signals doesn't work" as you said, then what works?? Backlinks are very important factor on search engine ranking and social signals have it's strong meaning in SERP.
BTW your question is not very clear and i am not really sure what exactly you asking for, but remember that it's very difficult to overtake Facebook in ranking. At the moment Facebook acquire about 6,5 million backlinks and i doubt you can compete to that in order to gain better ranking. You also have to consider many other SEO tactics in order to compete with any SERP competitor. If you provided search keywords you ranking for, then we could maybe give you better answer...

If your site is on page 1 of the search list then you should just continue what you are doing. Maintain that position for a time before you change the routine of SEO because there is no assurance that if you change the method then the ranking will increase. The saying slow and steady is still a good idea when doing improvements on anything. As I said, being in page 1 is already good and you make it better in a slow manner.
Dude, what is your site and why is Facebook on top? If you're not a social media site, you can easily overtake Facebook on a certain niche by writing long, well researched articles that target a certain group of keywords. Always add content to your site until you become number 1 and overtake those that are above you. You can do it. Nothing is impossible.
I am so sorry. I could not relate to you. I don't know what you are talking about. I don't have page 1.
Wow, actually this has benefited me as well. I have always pondered on this aspect and it is always proper to have such knowledge on the fingertips such that I can know what to do when I am stranded.
I would also love to check your site. I think it is not just the number of members that create a big impact on ranking but the proper keywording. Quality over quantity. Check your keyword usage and your content creation.
I agree with you. As for most of the time, quality always beats quantity.
Last time I was researching rankings and the factors search engines use to rank websites, I learned that a search engine like Google uses over 100 factors to rank websites. Over 100. Most web owners focus on creating great content, link building, etc but most actually never bother to find out what other things they could be doing to get better rankings.
That is why I would suggest taking a look at this page.
You could use the information you obtain as a checklist to learn what more you could do in order to get better rankings.
All the best!
Search results are contextual and does not remain for all of us the same way. Google is highly personalized in 2018. So it may be number 1 for you. But in many places it may not be around that rank. So keeping that consider the possibility that you have to get the traffic and properly monetize it. Some of the time it may not be easy there as well. Because monetization is one of the hardest things that one can try out.
What do you mean by highly personalized, that your ranking in Google is number 1 because you are logged in and it will be different if you are not logged in? I have read about that issue that when you are logged in Google the search that you do on your site is somewhat biased simply because it is you who are searching. But if other users will do the search then the ranking is not the same.
Personalized in the sense, google collecting our data and tailoring the search result. So what I see number one may not be the same for you. So here SEO becomes harder. And brands and the sites are forced to personalized in such case. I have seen that branding if done on more personalized level things can improve.
If 5 people would do a search, each one of them would have different search results. So if you're site is in page 1 but a Facebook site is above you then you should be happy that your site ranked on page 1 and top second at that. But again the results varies and depends on a lot of factors including location.
You can do whatever you want. Post something interesting about yourself, and also make your site user-friendly.
Is your article a bit gibberish? So you are on page 1 and Facebook is above you despite their 200 and your 8000. Backlinks do not work. This is what you say here.
My advice is you do what you did to get to page 1 and research more on what you will do nextnext to improve more. Use the advice you get here
On page one, just input the overview of your website or forum together with your biography so that the readers can know you easily.
You can post whatever in your mind on the first page of it. So that the people will have an overlook on your site information.
Exctly! There are no standards that should be followed when creating the first page of the book.
On page 1 is the overview of your website, it must contain your profile together with your information or biography so that people can instantly see it because it's on the home page.
