Have you made any resolution for this new year, related to your freelancing career?

As freelancers we try to be competitive and successful, so as to keep up our career. Considering how many freelancers there are online it could be very difficult and demanding to become and remain a successful freelancer. Now that the new year has arrived, many people make resolutions, so as to try to achieve a better year than the past one. Have you made any decision for your new year as a freelancer? Will you be diversifying your services, partnering up with someone, or working more or few hours, for instance?

Well after several decades of broken resolutions, I made one final resolution not to make any more resolutions! LOL. Seriously though, making resolutions is very highly overrated IMHO! While it's good to make a resolution not to do something that isn't healthy for you, like quitting smoking or drinking and working out or exercising more, riding to work instead of taking the car.

And sticking to them, that sort of thing is good if you stick to it. But even if you don't, it's better really to live one day a time and make the best decision for yourself on the day rather than setting yourself up for a fall. If you know what I mean? Lots of people make resolutions but then when they don't keep them they end up feeling let down like they've let their self down or anyone that they told that resolution too.

As a freelancer though I've not made some resolutions but more wishes and hopes for a bigger and better year than before. And to put some plans into action on here that could be good all round and to just go on providing a great service and experience to people.

And blazing trails and leaving behind a legacy.

But that's just me. Original since 1978.

Often imitated. Never duplicated! Have you made any resolution for this new year, related to your freelancing career?

I've always wanted to get better as regards writing and that's how I came across the word freelancing and knowing that I can earn through freelancing made things easier for me as well. So, my goal is to earn as much as I could before the year runs out.

I am giving freelancing another year and if the earnings wouldn't improve then I guess I have to change gears. My main line is paid forum posting which is not so dynamic in terms of income. Maybe I have to consider a marketing job like affiliates which looks more attractive although I think it has more stress. Let us wait and see.

I think I've learned all the basics in online freelancing and now that I'm comfortable with it I decided that it's time to diversify. That's why this coming New Year I'll be reactivating my blog. Since I concentrated in social media and online freelancing this year, I feel it's time to incorporate blogging and some online services as well as activating my selling site again.
