Do-Follow Vs No-Follow

If Page Rank is dead, does that also mean the distinction between do-follow and no-follow
links is also now irrelevant?

No no. Page Rank is a measure of a website pages authority. Where the more links it has pointing to it, the higher the PR (Page Rank) would be.

It doesn't really have anything to do with no follow and do follow. Although, that said, do follow links do pass juice through to it so that can affect your PR. Where as no follow links don't pass any juice through so it wont have any positive affect on your PR.

Also there is no such thing as do follow. There is only no follow or no no follow (which is do follow).

All links are do follow by nature unless the no follow tag is used then it's a no follow link.

But yeah, PR and do follow / no follow are two completely different things. But you would still want to build a mix of both no follow and no no follow (do follow) links to your site as that's natural.

These days it's all about your PA (Page Authority) DA (Domain Authority), TF (Trust Flow) and CF (Citation Flow).

    I hope this helps!

Let us know if you have any more questions.

    Mike.

    Thanks’ Mike.

Sorry to be a nuisance, but does a nofollow tag stop the passing of domain authority and
trust flow in the same way as it was supposed to stop the flow of Page Rank? That’s
really what I meant about whether or not it is now irrelevant.

You're not a nuisance! Do-Follow Vs No-Follow It's good that you're asking questions and I get you. No follow links don't carry through trust flow no. They can't since they're told not to in the no follow link. However, Google can still see the DA, PA, TF and CF of that link and can still index the link just the same. Even though it's done in a way that's completely different. Basically, you still want no follow links because if your site only has do follow links only it shows you're trying to game the SERPS. But if you have a mix of both then it shows that your site appeals to the wider community. But this is a highly controversial topic so you might want to sign a disclaimer to say this is just my opinion! Do-Follow Vs No-Follow

    Thanks Mike.

That’s a lot clearer to me now.
